Wendy and Rick Lommen

Rick and Wendy Lommen are currently Owner/Operators of Courtesy Corporation-McDonald’s, a franchise of 62 McDonald’s restaurants in Western WI, Southeastern MN, and Decorah and Clear Lake, IA. However, their story began at the young age of 6 when their parents became friends and they used to vacation together.

While in high school, Rick began working as a crew member with Courtesy Corporation-McDonald’s starting his long history with the company. After high school, Rick and Wendy both went on to attend college and are proud badger graduates from UW-Madison. Rick also earned a law degree at Marquette University in 1991.

In 1993, Rick and Wendy returned to Onalaska to join Rick’s father, Dick, in directing and managing Courtesy Corporation's rapid growth. Upon returning to La Crosse, Wendy established the local franchise chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities of which she is currently President and Director. In 2007, Rick became President of Courtesy Corporation. Together, their McFamily proudly serves more than 21 million customers annually and employs 4,500 employees.

Rick and Wendy both strongly believe in giving back to their community- a passion that was passed on to them by their parents and one that they have continued to share with their own children. The importance of helping others, especially kids, is something that Rick and Wendy have kept in the forefront of everything they do, including their Courtesy Corporation brand. When a problem presents itself, Rick and Wendy are quick to find creative ways to be a part of the solution in all of the communities that they serve. Their focus on their McFamily and their community has earned Rick and Wendy national recognition from the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Rick & Wendy have happily been married for 32 years and are the proud parents of their three children; Lauren, Claire and Tyler. Tyler is currently studying aerospace engineering at Iowa State; Claire is a successful real estate analyst in Minneapolis; and you might find Lauren and her husband, Wade when you go through the McDonald’s drive-thru as they have moved back to La Crosse to join the Courtesy Corporation family. Rick and Wendy are thrilled with the potential to have their children become third generation owners of Courtesy Corporation-McDonald’s.

Working with the Lommens has truly deepened the impact our Clubs have had on youth in our community. The Club is forever grateful for the partnership we have with Courtesy Corporation-McDonald’s
