Ardy’s interest in the youth of the area was stimulated by his former position as a Physical Education teacher at Logan High School. He was a Charter Board Member of the Boys Club and was active on the committee to hire the first Executive Director.

In 1977-78, Ardy served as president of the Board of Directors. His no-nonsense business-like approach to handling meeting set the stage for the re-organizational structure of the board. He was very active in the development of the new club and assisted in securing monies to support the building. In 1985, Ardy chaired the first annual auction committee and the no ones surprise, the event was a huge success.



As a result of his involvement in the Boys & Girls Clubs of a Crosse, Ardy has received the Distinguished Service Award. The National Margin of Excellence Award and the President’s Award.
