Don’s interest in the Club grew through the involvement of his son, Scott, who was active in athletics while attending grade school. He was very supportive of both the program and the coaches making it a pleasure for everyone to see him become involved.

In 1981, Don was elected Treasurer of the Club and served in that capacity until 1984. Don’s duties included signing checks, authorizing purchases, and overseeing the budget. In 1985, he was elected Vice President of the Club.



Don has always been both a “true friend’ as well as an “active ambassador” of the club. His support of the staff and the programs has come from behind the scenes. Never looking for recognition or headlines, his quiet fund raising efforts and cooperative personality have been extremely significant in the success of the Club in recent years.
