Noel Jordan

Noel Jordan was one of the key people on the “planning team” who were responsible for raising the money for the new Boys & Girls Club. Through his leadership and as result of his boundless energy, the new Club opened its doors in January of 1984.

Noel was President of the Executive Board of the Boys & Girls Club from 1982 through 1984. He was just what the “doctor ordered” at a time when the Club was experiencing severe growing pains. After viewing the dismal surrounding of the Club, which was housed in the old St. Johns Church, Noel developed a goal of seeing a club built during his years as President. During his Presidency, he received the National Presidential Award and Boys Club Margin of Excellence Award.

Noel graduated from North Dakota State University in 1971 with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. While in school, he received two distinguished service awards and was named to Who’s Who in Colleges and Universities. In addition to that, he was a member of the National Athletic Scholarship Society and chaired several university committees.

Noel joined the Trane Company in 1971 and he held a variety of managerial positions until his departure in 1984. Since leaving Trane, Noel has become a partner in Skipperliner Industries and American Marine of La Crosse.

Despite being very involved in the business world, Noel has always found time for civic involvement. He is currently President of the La Crosse Area Economic Development Corporation and Vice President of the Committee to Keep the Saints in La Crosse.

Noel is very devoted to his five children and is a caring husband to his wife Barbara.
