Scott Kish

Steve and Scott Kish are two special individuals who are continuing the Kish family support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse.


That support began with their father, Don, who was a club board member from 1980 to 1986, Don was inducted into the Boys and Girls Club Wall of Fame in February of 1986, three months before his death.


Scott Kish was born on June 20, 1965, in La Crosse. The youngest child attended Mt. Calvary School and Graduated from Luther High School in 1983, excelling in both baseball and basketball.


Scott graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1988 with a degree in Mortuary Science. Shortly after graduation, he joined his brother Steve as a partner in Schumacher-Kish Funeral Homes. He is currently the School Board President and Basketball Coach at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School, member of the Gundersen-Lutheran and Franciscan Skemp Children’s Grief Committee, Secretary of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs Board of Directors. Scott and his wife, Laura, have 4 children, Katlin, Jessica, Mackenzie, and Alexander.



Scott and Steve are deeply involved in the Boys and Girls Clubs. Their sponsorships vary from Basketball Tournaments, Golf Benefits, and the Don Kish Memorial Scholarship. As a result of that, Scott and Steve received the Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Schumacher-Kish Funeral Homes was awarded the Boys and Girls Clubs Corporate award in 1997.
