Frank Vierling

Frank grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Linbergh High School in 1973. He then went on to attend Drake University where he earned a degree in Business Administration in 1977. After spending time as a supervisor of underwriting, Frank was hired by Midwestern National Insurance Corporation (MNIC) in 1983 as Assistant Vice President of Underwriting. MNIC later became Midwest Security Life Insurance Company and Midwest Security Administrators, both acquired by UnitedHealthcare. Frank spent 35 years with UnitedHealthcare and is proud to have helped their division more than double in size twice in the last 15 years. Frank has also received the insurance industry designations for Fellow, Life Management Institute, Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, and Health Insurance Association of America.

While Frank was living in St. Louis, he met his high school sweetheart, Ruth. He and Ruth have been married for almost 41 years and are the proud parents of three boys, Tom (Stephanie), Jeff, and Greg (John). They are also grandparents to Maddie whom they adore.

Frank started his involvement with the Boys and Girls Club 15 years ago when he joined the Board of Directors. Since then, he has been heavily involved in the success of the Benefit Golf Classic sponsored by UnitedHealthcare. Frank works hard to help the Club continue to raise funds to support youth in our area.

In addition to the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, Frank also coached for the Tornado Youth Hockey Association for 12 years and was a member of their Board of Directors where he served as president for 2 years. Frank was also a part of the Onalaska Track and Cross Country Booster Club and supported the Onalaska Show Choir. Being an avid Packer’s fan, Frank also has a strong connection with the Gilbert Brown Foundation.

Frank only has a few missions in life, “to be a good husband, father, brother, and person” and the Club is so thankful for his kindness and dedication to the Boys & Girls Club and the youth we serve.
