Steve Kish

Steve and Scott Kish are two special individuals who are continuing the Kish family support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse.

That support began with their father, Don, who was a club board member from 1980 to 1986. Don was inducted into the Boys and Girls Club Wall of Fame in February of 1986, three months before his death.

Steve Kish is the oldest child born to Don and Sherry Kish on June 4, 1959. After attending Mt. Calvary Lutheran Grade School, Steve graduated from Luther High School in 1977. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1981 and his Mortuary Science Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1983.

Steve is an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, serving on the School Board for eight years. He has been a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs Board of Directors since 1977. Steve and Julie Kish have three children, Michael, Marissa, and Joseph.

Scott and Steve are deeply involved in the Boys and Girls Clubs. Their sponsorships vary from Basketball Tournaments, Golf Benefits, and the Don Kish Memorial Scholarship. As a result of that, Scott and Steve received the Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Schumacher-Kish Funeral Homes was awarded the Boys and Girls Clubs Corporate award in 1997.
