Donald J. Weber

After growing up on a farm in rural Wisconsin, Don joined the United States Marine Corps as a young man. He served active duty in the Vietnam War, and for his distinguished service he has received many awards, among them the Purple Heart and two bronze stars. In perhaps the greatest reward for his years of service, Don credits the Marines with turning his life around. Don’s years of military service are a great source of pride for him, and to this day many of his personal and business decisions stem from knowledge and insight he gained while engaged in active duty.

Don Weber is the founder and CEO of Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI). Previously, Don was President and founder of National Health Screenings, which focused exclusively on health assessments and employee screening services. He built one of the premier providers of pre-employment drug testing services and sold the business to Pinkerton Services Group.

After a transition period, he began devoting his time to building LHI into a world-class leader in the field of military medical and dental readiness. His leadership and vision has driven the development of many comprehensive and successful approaches to providing health care services to employees alike.

Last year, LHI received prestigious awards at both the state and national levels from the Department of Defense for its support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. As part of that honor, Don was invited to Washington D.C. to accept the Freedom Award.

In 2004, Don was named Wisconsin Entrepreneur of the Year by the Wisconsin Entrepreneur’s Conference, an award which recognizes entrepreneurial leaders who are instrumental in the development of the Wisconsin Economy. He was also named the La Crosse Tribune’s person of the Year for 2006.

Don believes strongly in the values the Boys & Girls Club imparts to our local children, and in 2005 joined the Club’s distinguished Board of Directors.

IN 2005, Don became involved in the Amie L. Mathy Center, the collaboration between Viterbo University and the Boys and Girls Clubs of La Crosse. Don and his wife, Roxanne, personally embraced the cause. Their generous gift, along with other community support, helped the Boys and Girls Club exceed its $7.5 million goal, and ensured that La Crosse are children would have a safe place to grow and play for decades to come.

Don is also credited with inspiring the community to step up their support of the Boys and Girls Club site in La Crescent in 2010 by offering a dollar for dollar matching donation, which led to the reopening of that Club to the youth of La Crescent.

Don and Roxie have raised four children, Libby, Nick, Augie, and Max.
